If you are looking for a petting zoo type of Bow hunt where Mr. Outfitter shakes a bucket of corn and animals start running to you to kill them......this is not the site you should be looking at.

This hunt will be on my Personal Ranch and I stocked it back in 2004 with Axis Bucks and a few Doe and now I have created a world of Axis.

To be honest, I really didn't think they would multiply very fast, my thinking was completely wrong...they multiplied like rabbits and VERY CHALLENGING !!.

If you have never tasted Axis Deer meat, I promise you that it is the ABSOLUTE BEST you will ever eat !!

Not only is the meat the BEST, the hide makes a beautiful tanning hide, plus the Antlers are beautiful !

If you think that Axis deer will come running when we come down the road with a feed truck or when the feeder goes off, you might be wrong. I really believe that these animals are the most intelligent animal on the Ranch next to Hogs. We definitely have to hunt the wind for sure and hunt extremely hard !

You will also find that there are NO TROPHY FEES, or KILL FEES on any animals on my Ranch !.

If you harvest a Axis Buck or Axis Doe (Of your choice), Hogs, Javelina, Turkey, and Predators, there is NO HIDDEN COST.....the only $$$ you pay is the flat rate !.

I also do not like to take over (4) Bow hunters at a time....or if you are by yourself.....not a problem.

For over 30 years, experienced Owner and Guide Glenn Smith ("Smitty") has been providing guests with quality hunts for whitetails, hogs, javelina and bobwhite quail. South Texas, commonly referred to as Brush Country, boasts some of the highest game and non-game species in the entire state.

Archery season usually begins on the last weekend of September. It runs through mid - January for Trophy bucks followed by a two week late season spikes and does.

Semi-guided hunts are conducted year round from our air conditioned Camp House.

We have year round corn & protein feeders on 3000 + acres of South Texas brush country near Freer, Texas. During deer season you are allowed 1 buck, 1 doe, 1 hog, and 1 javelina per booking plus unlimited varmints. From February through September you are allowed (2) hogs and (1) javelina plus unlimited varmints.

The ranch has widely varied South Texas like terrain with cactus and mesquite as well as Hill Country like terrain with huge oaks, cedar, hills and creeks. This Ranch has not been hunted in over 5 Yrs. !!
